Prices
Where each peg's price comes from and how often it updates.
Two sources
| Source | Used when | How |
|---|---|---|
| Exchanges | 3 or more of 9 exchanges list the asset and their median is within 3% of its price on its own chain | Median of the venues' public prices, after dropping any quote more than 2% from the rest |
| The asset's own pools | No such exchange price | Liquidity-weighted median of its deepest pools on its home chain, from DexScreener |
The 9 exchanges are Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, Kraken, Gate, MEXC, Bitget and KuCoin. SOL's own price comes from the same exchange median.
How often
- Exchange prices: every 5 seconds.
- Pool prices: every 20 seconds.
- A jump of more than 30% in one round is held until the next round confirms it.
From a price to the pool
A peg's price in SOL is the asset's USD price divided by SOL's USD price. That price maps to a DLMM bin; bins are 0.1% apart. When the pool sits 3 or more bins (0.3%) from that bin, the keeper sends a signed update; it also sends one every 10 minutes. See Depth and repricing.
